IN SUPPORT OF The Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Treatment Centre at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre which provides specialised, individualised care for survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence and human trafficking throughout Northwestern Ontario. Specially trained nurses provide immediate medical attention, psychosocial support and ongoing care, with services guided by each survivor’s individual needs and choices. The Centre also offers injury assessment and treatment, safety planning, referrals to community supports, follow-up care, and options for forensic evidence collection. Its patient-centred approach helps survivors access compassionate care and make informed decisions about the support and next steps that are right for them.
