INVESTING IN DREAMS

THANK YOU to every woman who took the time to apply for the Live Your Dream Award this year. You stepped forward, dared to hope, and shared your stories and dreams with us. That takes courage — and we see you. What happens next — and what you can expect:
1. Club-level review & judging
Your application now goes to your local Soroptimist club, where the judges will review entries for eligibility, completeness, and strength of personal statements.
2. Possible requests for clarification
If a judge needs more info (e.g. about your budget numbers or educational plans), they may reach out to you. Be sure your contact info is up to date.
3. Notification of decision
Club-level recipients are usually announced sometime between January and April — each club handles their own timeline.
• If you’re selected, the club will contact you with instructions for receiving your award.
• If you’re not selected this year, don’t lose hope — you may apply again next cycle (as long as you still meet the eligibility criteria).
4. Further levels of award consideration
If you win at the club level, your application becomes eligible for region-level awards (typically $3,000–$5,000) and then possibly an international award (up to $10,000).
5. Award disbursement & public recognition
Once awarded, funds will be distributed (after confirming your details). Clubs often celebrate their recipients publicly — but any sharing of your story will only happen with your permission and media consent.
6. Stay informed & stay hopeful
Keep an eye on your email and postal mail, and watch your club’s communications. Even if this year doesn’t work out, your story matters — and we may reach out with other opportunities or support.
