DEK is a non-profit, volunteer driven organization whose goal is to open a post-treatment recovery home for women fighting addiction. They are committed to activism striving to effect change, dismantle stigma, and offer nurturing environments for individuals living with addiction.  DEK was founded by Carolyn Karle in June 2022. Carolyn lost her daughter (Dayna Elizabeth Karle/DEK) to an unintentional drug overdose in 2021.  Dayna had been sober for 9 months. This tragedy inspired her mother to the establish the DEK Foundation.
